We'll stipulate that locals murders have dropped if mainstream media will also agree the Chief supporting his rank and file officers against a City Hall takeover was the most important aspect of a turnaround in this tumultuous tenure.
The KCPD Chief wins 2014 without question and we can only hope his victory this year is a sign of good things to come for Kansas City.
KC Conservative Author Jack Cashill
He called Prez Obama a liar this year in print and some say he has more courage than any other Kansas City pundit. Like it or not, Jack Cashill proved to be one of Kansas City's strongest voices this year and one of the few mainstream pundits to (strangely) agree with TKC that Kansas MSM election posturing against Gov. Brownback was an absolute FAIL and didn't represent real Midwestern political values.

Robbed CONSTANTLY over the year and especially this year, this week . . . This place is Kansas City's ATM for crooks.
Kansas City Mayor Sly James
He lost big on a serious ambulance service outsourcing deal, the charter, and the streetcar. He simply raised taxes too much. Mayor Sly alienated the nicer parts of the 4th District including Brookside and Waldo.
The myth is that he's a popular Mayor . . . The reality is that law firms and corporations have colluded to make sure their man stays in power.
And so . . . We finish this year's posting and want all of you get get home safe, don't get raped or shot tonight.
And don't get too ghetto, trailer park and/or barrio and shoot guns into the sky to celebrate the New Year.
