We're staring our end of year round-up posts with something simple.
To wit . . .
KANSAS CITY POLITICOS CINDY CIRCO AND PASTOR BROOKS VOTED WORST AT CITY HALL FOR 2014!!!
Working with a do-nothing council who mostly gave Mayor Sly just about everything he ever wanted . . . The crown of "worst Council member" is quite an achievement.
Quick recap . . .
A "Candidate School" for/with Burns & Mac started a year of constituent FAIL for Sexy Cindy.
Meanwhile . . . Most of us still couldn't believe that Council Dude Brooks got in trouble during a sexting controversy wherein he was reportedly hanging dong.
AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS told us about a sketchy solar panel deal wherein Cindy advocated for a future part-time employer.
And Pastor Brooks continued to cast unpredictable votes during his hanging dong controversy.
Finally . . . Sexy Cindy might run for Mayor after Sly is finished with the job even though her former fire fighter buddies no longer like her.
And famously, Former Council dude Brooks was involved in controversial ALLEGATIONS of assault made by his assistant and involving a belt and hairdo chatter at City Hall. Ultimately, he was forced to resign just like some very smart TKC Tipsters suspected.
There's no telling what the future holds for these embattled Kansas City political denizens but during 2014 these politicos gave this town their very worst.
Sure is a circus going on. I blame the voting base in KCMO .

And now we are home. Damn, we are back in the thick of a city election cycle.
Mr. Tony, I received an email from a dear friend informing me that Theresa Garza was certified to run for office. No residency issue. Now please tell me just what is the difference between Miss Garza and her political shaman, Cindy Circo? I am thinking that they are the same thing. Just another rubber stamp for Sly James.
Hell, I am better off voting for Ken Bacchus. Sure, sure there is that prosecutor lady but I am bored with prosecutors.
You should pay better attention. Theresa Garza and Ken Bacchus aren't in the same Council race.

With TKC's two candidates for worst, add the others to the list is we're already at almost half the council.
In a town of over 460,000 residents it's hard to believe that the same types of people, and in many cases, the ACTUAL same people show up and get elected over and over again.
Wannabee power players.
What a joke!
Not only was the “Candidate School” project a complete and total failure, but Cindy Circo hosted the forum as if she was guiltless of the very subject she was presenting: 1) Candidates lack of knowledge of how government was designed to work; 2) Ethics; and 3) Transparency. Ms. Circo has been involved in more than her fair share of violations in all three of these categories. We point to her rubber stamping the East Patrol project, renaming and financing thereof without question of what is proper for the City and in the interest of neighborhood. Ms. Circo as Mayor Pro Tem had a duty to the people of Kansas City to ensure public hearings. She provided the assist to Reed, Curls and James in the cover-ups surrounding the project. There’s no doubt that Ms. Circo rises to the very top of this list of worst Kansas City politicos. We agree with the others who provided their input here… if voters demonstrated more interest in who they elect to leadership roles, this discussion would be moot.

Brooks is a bad guy but he hasn't cost us anywhere near as much as Cindy and her grifter friends.

You want ethics and transparency issues just wait for Teresa Loar's comeback attempt. Although one could argue it's pretty transparent to go to the 22nd Floor of City Hall to collect petition signatures. It's transparent the candidate is ethically challenged.
ReplyDeleteTeresa will be a breath of fresh air on this lame council. Hate him or love him but Russ Johnson at least has the balls to speak his mind. Cowards like Scott Taylor (along with his crazy wife Cathy Jolly) refuse to do anything but posture for future political runs. Melba and Jermaine have produced nothing for their residents and the rest aren't worth discussing.
ReplyDeleteRuss Johnson was super quiet on the issue of rear-ending a teenager at North Oak. Russ Johnson is pathetic. The commenters are correct, most of the council run a close race to the bottom of the barrel. There's not one who would actually receive any accolade.

ReplyDeleteCindy Circo is definitely the worst councilperson. Brooks was just nasty and uninterested. Circo is on the dole with big business and couldn't care less about her constituents. Hope she doesn't think she will ever hold another public office in Kansas City. We will be out in force to keep that from happening.
