Dox: Jackson County Prosecutor Rejects HUNDREDS Of Drug Cases

First thing first . . .

Let's provide context . . .

The Republican dominated Missouri General Assembly is moving swiftly to establish special prosecutors in STL AND NOW the Kansas City metro given the historic level of rising violence.

Voters who have been watching nothing but KC Chiefs news for the past two weeks might wonder why.

Here's a clue . . .

HUNDREDS OF DRUG CASES UNCHARGED BY THE JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE LIKELY BOOST TO DEADLY CRIME STATS!!!

I know . . . I know . . .

We'd all like to think that a 30 million dollar slush fund for no-show urban executive jobs might curb crime . . . At least that's what Mayor Q & council want us to imagine.

However . . .

It turns out that throwing drug dealers in jail might be more effective at reducing local lawlessness. Or maybe . . . Just maybe . . . We can intervene in the lives of the addicted by charging some low level drug dealers in order to provide some level of treatment, job alternatives and counseling for the surprising number of people who would likely and GLADLY ACCEPT HELP. Call me an optimist but it seems like using the vast American legal system to encourage and help people get their lives straight might be more productive than just legalizing everything, giving everyone free Internets music-streaming services and then scooping up so many dead bodies left over by the fentanyl epidemic.

But I digress . . .

And this is where our political discourse comes into play . . .

Some might blame the recent legalization of weed for the rise of the drug game . . .

However . . .

CHECK THIS TKC EXCLUSIVE DOCUMENT DETAILING THE JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE REJECTING DRUG CASES AND POLICE FRUSTRATION WITH THIS NEW FACT OF LIFE!!!

The document is dated January of this year.

There is a great summary and numbers related to cases not charged by the prosecutor.

But by far, THIS is the most important passage . . .

"On April 15th of 2021 the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office announced under their new drug case guidelines with regard to charging narcotics. Since they have adopted this new policy, KCPD specifically the Drug Enforcement Unit has seen a drastic increase in cases they have refused for prosecution, commonly referred to as "Yellow Sheet." According to the most current FAU report to the Police board of Commissioners, reporting investigative cases submissions . . .

"Of the 1317 cases 965 of those cases were submitted by DEU Admin.

"This is problematic. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department spends the time, money and assumes the liability of investigating, arresting, and charging people for drug possession cases for "user amounts", with the full knowledge that often these cases will not be charged. I have attached the report for the previous year of 2021 and the number of Yellow Sheets has nearly doubled, from 598 in 2021 to 965 in 2022."
