Kansas City Politely Ignores 30 Million Slush Fund For Anti-Crime Groups

This one kinda hurt my feelings.

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS BROKE THIS STORY 48 HOURS BEFORE ANYBODY IN KANSAS CITY!!!

However . . .

Local media mostly decided to downplay the SLUSH FUND after our BREAKING NEWS REPORTING.

To be fair . . . 

Kansas City slush funds are pretty standard operating procedure for local government.

However . . .

From our vantage this move is exceptionally cruel . . . Kansas City residents are dying at historic levels and many but not all of our local leaders are uniting not to demand peace and accountability from our communities . . . But to make sure the municipal money machine keeps rolling. 

Credit to these news outlets for at least trying to give the story some daylight . . .

“I think this is probably the most irresponsible thing I've seen come across my desk in the 16 years I've served on city council,” Councilwoman Teresa Loar said.

Loar said she was blind-sided by the proposal which she believes offers no real plan for money accountability.

(Mayor Quinton) Lucas disagrees.

“There will be a public process for how financing is distributed. There will be an evidence-based approach for how money can be received,” Lucas said.
