Kansas City Testimony Supports Aim4Peace

We're sharing this news link in the spirit of fair play and to offer a more complete picture of the council effort to direct funds away from the taxpayer funded anti-crime effort.

We've noted 3rd District At-Large Councilman Brandon Ellington's power play against the group and warned that there would be push back from urban core supporters.

Now here's a look at the argument in favor of the embattled effort . . .

Gun violence survivor credits 'Aim4Peace' for helping turn his life around

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Using a boots on the ground approach, tracks violence like any health department would track a disease; working to intervene and find a solution before conflict escalates within the community. "Just like the owner of Jubilee's, we have a tight relationship with him," Aim4Peace Program Manager Rashid Junaid said.

  8. Most of the Law abiding citizens have moved from the Urban core. Remember the Song Movin,on up.They left the criminals there to shoot each other.

  9. I live in a smaller Johnson county city. I dont think we have had a shooting or murder in years. Its all about demographics. Or the maturity of the people in the city.

My neighbors could probably each buy out an entire gun shop and have money left over. But they settle disputes by civil court or mediations. They do not reach for a gun. Its maturity level. Its not even a IQ level thing. Some of my neighbors are the smartest DUMB people I have ever met.
