Earlier this Summer we talked about a dispute betwixt a 3rd District councilman and one of the most high-profile anti-crime groups in Kansas City.
Now, as the budget tightens and city hall resources are growing more scarce, this urban battle is heating up again.
From an insider who hints at 3rd District frustration with this strategy from the councilman, here's the word . . .
"It's clear Councilman Brandon Ellington has a personal vendetta against Aim4Peace, as he's attacking them again. I'm sure his constituents feel there are a multitude of other priorities in the third district . . ."
We'll have more in this dispute in the very near future . . . But for now, among our friends & neighbors on the East side, this political battle is growing more intense. Amid a year when the homicide count is reaching historic proportions, the conversation about anti-crime funds will impact ALL of Kansas City.
