Ax A Stupid Question: Kansas City P&L District Patrons To Throw Sharp Tools

The latest horrible idea for this costly entertainment district given recent close call accidents . . . Take a look:

Soon, you'll be able to go to Power & Light District to throw axes at Blade & Timber

Blade & Timber, located in the West Bottoms, is a place where people can experience urban ax throwing. Kansas City-based Blade & Timber - an interactive axe throwing experience - is coming to the Power & Light District. The company will relocate its original West Bottoms location to 1303 Baltimore Ave., former home of Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and Seafood.

  1. Lots of heavy boozing and throwing axes.
    What could possibly go wrong?
Looks like another desperate effort to rent an empty space.
    Momentum!

  8. Holy shit. It's only drunk frat boys and hipsters throwing axes indoors. What could go wrong?

One more reason to stay the hell out of KCMO.

  9. Brilliant move by the business owner. Because nothing says, "I'm a whiny little bitch...trust fund baby millenial, living in a tax-subsidized condo or apartment with tax-subsidized parking and drinking in a $15 million a year tax-subsidized party district, Power and Light, and gosh darn it--I just am so frustrated with the battery life of my $1000 cell phone that I just need to throw an ax--without moving my car. I'll just take the trolley."

And who needs Match.com or Tinder when there's Blade and Timber!

If we'd only had this when I was a hottie in Westport. Half a century ago. We just had the red phone booth in the courtyard of the Prospect.

  10. What will the hipster faggots think of next?

  11. This hipster trend of throwing axes is getting weird. Even worse you have effeminate males with beards and lumberjack shirts who have never touched a bladed weapon in their life except a cooking knife....going to these places thinking it will bring out some manliness.

I’ve cut more trees down with an axe than they have put their chubs in another mans rectum.

  14. AShh the sexy, sensuous and always mysteriously alluring Tracy chimes in. Tracy I miss the red phone booth in Jack Straw's Courtyard at the Prospect. The Prospect was a great place. Val the waiter was the best. BTW Tracy you've aged well and you're still a hottie.

  16. Darwin would be ecstatic! Proves his evolution theory. Lobotomy candidates throwing axes! Need a live hand grenade range in the jazz district next.
