Another Consideration Of Kansas City Royals Downtown Baseball Stadium Fake News

The consensus when we blogged this last night was that it was never gonna happen. To be fair to TKC, natch, we always blog this one as an April Fool's Joke. Take a look:

Downtown Royals baseball? It's years away - but the city is considering it

An I-70 staple - Kauffman Stadium - could someday be nothing more than a memory. Kansas City is studying what it would take to move the home of the Royals into downtown Kansas City. Keep in mind - this is long-range planning.

  1. No, the City Manager is spreading Tax money around in order to generate good will for himself among the Corporations he hopes to get hired by after his useless ass gets tossed out of City Hall.

  2. The people who "manage" KCMO repeatedly show, the airport terminal fiasco being just the latest example, that they couldn't run a two-car garage.
The big league sports teams will be just another corporation to totally take advantage of the amateurs at city hall, roll right over them in any kind of deal, and royally screw the taxpaying public.
How about just fixing the streets and trying to do something about all the murders?

  3. Of course they are considering it - it makes no sense.

  4. If they had put a ladies football team in Kemper the city would not need to build another billion dollar stadium to throw fans out of.

  5. When will the television stataions restart the timeless debate about what to do with Union Station?

  6. KRASKE SAID DOWNTOWN BASEBALL IS "KOOL". THAT WAS HIS REASON FOR SPENDING MILLIONS OF TAX MONEY TAKEN FROM FIXED INCOME RESIDENTS.
