TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! SUBSCRIBER COMMUNITY PICKS 2015 STANDOUT COUNCIL CANDIDATES SO FAR!!!

The silly Kansas City council election season is upon us already and tonight we help voters and our blog community follow some of the early leaders.

We'll have more on all of these candidates but for tonight we have EXCLUSIVE polling data that reveals which candidates have garnered the most interest so far among our KICK-ASS INSIDERS who answer more than a few questions.

CHECK OUR KANSAS CITY COUNCIL ELECTION EARLY POWER RANKING TONIGHT!!!

We've also offered a few more links for further research. Take a look:

Quinton Lucas - 3rd District At-Large

Our blog community was the FIRST to profile and document the impressive debut of Quinton Lucas on the Kansas City political scene. This KU law prof and elite local denizen of the political scene has earned a suprising bit of support and started his campaign with a companding cash advantage of nearly $50K. Right now he's the top vote getter among our bloggy community.

Teresa Loar - 2nd District At-Large

This Northland political lady is attracting quite a bit of attention from both supporters and detractors alike. We've followed her campaign closely and her base of support that extends across the bridge is something that earned the attention of a great many political insiders who know that she has a great many friends to call upon despite SERIOUS opposition.

Heather Hall - 1st District

Heather Hall has emerged as a conservative favorite in the Northaland. She's running a public safety campaign and she already has the enthusiastic support of police FOP organization which should be key in this Kansas City copland enclave.

Alissia Canady - 5th District

Alissia Canady was the first and only Kansas City political lady to come out and express her disappointment with disgraced council dude Pastor Brooks and her support from Jackson County insiders could be key in pushing her ahead of an increasingly competitive field.

MO House Rep. Kevin McManus - 6th District

He hasn't yet declared because it's going to disappoint his Southland constituents a bit . . . But Rep. McManus will have about $150K on hand along with the support of outgoing council dude John Sharp to back him up. Henry Klein will do his best to challenge the upstart politico but it's clear that McManus has earned the support of the local Democratic Party establishment which has all but controlled local politics throughout the modern era.

And so . . . As we look forward to continued conversation during the silly season. These POWER PLAYERS are leading the field in their respective contests.

Developing . . .

  1. So are you basically saying that you have to have money in order to get votes in KC?

If that's the case then our voting really needs some change and that is what Mayor James should work on in his 2nd term. It's good that some people chose to give money to candidates but when it controls elections, then our democracy loses its power. We can't have city hall open to the highest bidder.

  2. Excuse me, have you been asleep for the past 30 years? Every office in the U.S. has been for sale since Nixon. You can thank the republicans and democrats for this sad state of affairs.

  3. Alissia Canady was just pissed she wasn't getting any of that BBC.

  4. That's smarts.

I prefer a better city to KC. THere's just too much corruption here.

  5. McManus needs to stay in Jeff City, he asked the voters to elect him to state rep in Nov.

  6. All of these folks are a good reason to say in Johnson County. I don't care how good the condominium deals get.

  7. 8:30 PM

    +1 You nailed it.

  8. "In Johnson County"

    There I said it.

8:14, there's a UHaul rental facility downtown and trucks are available tomorrow.

  9. South KC doesn't need more machine-backed career politicians like Kevin McManus. This time, we have the chance to elect Terrence Nash - a community leader in the 6th district for many years who doesn't have ties to decrepit political parties or megalomaniacal retreads from the 1970s.

  10. 8:30 FTW, No Doubt.

  11. Blame Sly for this crap, he has done his best to scare all of the worthwhile candidates out of running. The man is a power hungry dictator who doesn't ever take no for an answer. This is what I'm asking all of the candidates: Will you stand up to Sly? If they refuse to answer the question, they simply aren't worth the time.

    Terrance Nash? Hahahah!HahahahHahahahHahahah!

    Oh God!
    Hahahah!HahahahHahahahHahahah!

    That's a good. One!

  13. 9:15 looks like Sharp's Goons are still on the payroll.

  14. I don't believe this poll exists. It's Tony promoting candidates in return for something god knows what. The 6th district is a good example: McManus and Kline aren't even qualified for the ballot and yet this is the second TKC article to promote them without mentioning the name of the only candidate who is!

  15. Interested to see what these folks think about the POS City Manager Troy Schulte?

  16. this all is so tawdry, like russ johnson has polluted the voting pool. hope that we can find someone to provide real leadership in KC.

  17. I'd fuck Heather Hall in her ass. Then cum all over her face and tits.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Really, what has McManus done?

    ReplyDelete
  19. If it comes down to a tight race, I'll pick Jordan Carver to "come from behind"!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Dump the career politicians like McManus, Justus, Loar

    ReplyDelete
  21. Where is the TKC questionnaire?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I like Heather Hall because she is a hottie, she hates Niggers and Taxes and she understands why we need unfettered access to guns. Besides that, I bet she can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch while she rubs herself.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well then, she has got my vote!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Teresa Loar is a career politician with either her hand out for a favor or an axe to grind. Jason Hodges will outwork her, out fundraise her, and didn't go floor to floor in City Hall, including the 22nd Floor/Council Offices soliciting petition signatures. Violating MO ethics rules means nothing to Loar.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tony, no mention of Louie Wright?

    ReplyDelete
  26. we need to dump that functioning retard scott wagner as well, or is he on another junket to China selling citizenship under that broke program and oblivious to all of this?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wagner's wife is not sexually fulfilled and she will talk to women about it on facebook. Then she gets all nervous and starts deleting IMs. LOL
