TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TERESA LOAR CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF FEATURES IMPRESSIVE LIST OF KANSAS CITY POWER PLAYERS!!!

A former Kansas City Council lady is making her return to the political stage backed by SOME VERY POWERFUL FRIENDS who are ready to party for the holidays at this Fa La La Fundraiser.

To wit . . .

CHECK OUT THIS HOLIDAY POWER MOVE PARTY FROM NORTHLAND POLITICO TERESA LOAR!!!

She didn't list their titles but I noticed that hosts for her holiday shin-dig include . . .

Former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes

Current Council Dude Ed Ford

Former Council Lady Becky Nace

Former Councilman Terry Riley

Former Councilman Troy Nash

Former Council Lady Aggie Stackhaus

Former Council Lady Bonnie Sue Cooper

Former KCPD Chief Jim Corwin

And may more . . .

Like it or not, those are some pretty heavy hitters and the lady who brought us John-TV looks likes she's ready to reclaim the political spotlight and already we hear that she has Mayor Sly so nervous that he's sending his campaign staff to try and compete against this skilled Kansas City political veteran.

Developing . . .

  1. The support of any one of these would make me vote for her opponent.

  2. The Retread PAC.

  3. What are her views on unsolicited bulk email?

  4. Ms Loar was not a good council member for the City.

Will the legal issues surrounding TetraTech be resolved before the election?

From the list of hosts, I bet they meet right after water therapy to strategize the return of the Loar.

Northland and Kansas City can do better than this.

And yeah, her views in the old days were "The Bulkier the Better!!"

  5. What an un-PC invite... A Christmas tree with a star of Bethlehem on top of it?!?

  6. Watching the names that come up over and over again in KCMO politics is worse than trying to figure out who is related to who at an Appalachian wedding.
In a town of almost 450,000 people, this is it?
    Really?

  7. This is it because those who benefit know that these people can be bought. Why risk supporting some new, intelligent person who might not be for sale?

  8. We need new people.

  9. Jay Hodges is a stooge. Not voting for him.

  10. I won't vote for Sly, why would i vote for one of his minions like Jay Hodges?

  11. Man, talk about a night of the living dead. Dead weight, dead wood, dead politics.

  12. TKC, let's look at the list, the facts, and some history:

Loar violated campaign finance law during the Bryce Harris mayoral campaign. She put down the names of people who never gave donations to cover for money that was improperly donated.

Loar was famous for using city funds for expensive trips in high end hotels, expensive massage and traveling companions.

She was a lousy council person who was much more concerned with doing favors for her buddies that in good government.

She appears she can't hold a job in the public sector. Ask Black &Veatch. Ask Tetra Tech. Ask anyone.

Her supporters? Riley? Cushman? Hinkle? Hardly players. Stackhaus, who nobody can stand and no one respects anyway, doesn't even live in KCMO any more. She reportedly moved to one of the lakes outside of the city limits. Bonnie Sue? She's looking for more expenses-paid trips to Mexico and wants Loar to finance them. No one on this list is a player. Is Loar going to have Kay Barnes as a financial advisor, so we can repeat the great results of the Power and Light District?

The worst thing for the Second District and the City would be to elect Teresa Loar to the City Council. Jay Hodges is too classy to dig up all of the dirt that clings in clods to Loar, so hopefully people will educate themselves about the morals and ethics, or lack thereof, of Loar.

  13. Terry Riley? Power player? Seriously, TKC!? Don't over-exaggerate his time as a councilman. He was hardly innovative. People liked him because he gave out freebies. Besides that, he's lined up with the usual suspects and that's neither groundbreaking nor newsworthy. Since leaving office, he's been nothing but a bandwagon supporter of utter nonsense. Power player is a stretch, TKC. If you'll recall, the rich allow the help to be in the same room, breathe the same air but that doesn't make the maid a power player.
