TKC is the only Kansas City media outlet to stand up against deadbeat P&L District and their economic profiling AND NOW a bunch of older white dudes will analyze my ideas . . . Thank you Internets.
I doubt the discussion will raise any issue we haven't already discussed . . .
We broke news of opposition to the policy earlier in the week after Twitter and Social media rage was obvious.
The TKC P&L DISTRICT BOYCOTT started Tuesday Morning . . .
Voice Of Merrill was the first talker to pick up the discussion and so many have followed . . .
So, Shanin & Parks are going to discuss the issue this afternoon . . . I don't know if I'll call in considering we've had hundreds of comments on the topic here . . . Basically I've noticed that both Conservatives and Progressives agree with me and oppose a big (money losing) corporation engaging in Economic Profiling.
Also, I might do a TV Interview on the subject as well . . . I gotta go walk my (mom's dog) so we'll see . . .

Look, it's america 2011. As much as I would love to debate you on race and economic status I have to go to my daughters cheerleading contest.

However, I assure you that many of these thugs will have no problem following the current P&L District dress code and debit/credit card requirements.
Now that we are all aware of these inner city people's existence, what standards should the P&L District enforce to keep these 'Rap Musicians' out? Perhaps blood tests or IQ tests at the door?

ReplyDeleteYou are never going to be able to have a "WHITES ONLY" or "COLORED ONLY" public venue. Jim crow laws are illegal. So make the best of it. Move to Idaho or Alaska and enjoy the places where you don't have to see, work or play with any minorities. That's the best solution for you. Cause whether you know it now or realize it later...those darker faces aren't going anywhere. And you can't LEGALLY stop them from frequenting a public place.
I suggest playing Celine Dione or Barry Manilow to deter them. Trust me...THAT WOULD SCARE THEM AWAY!!! lol!!!

I think I have it....
When the darker faces come up that's when you change te music. Tell the DJ to look for the signal from the door, mix in the soft rock, then switch back when the minorities turn around. You have to hire a really good DJ but it might work.
Just trying to get you some solutions so you won't blow a gasket from frustration.

This is a great idea! I truly hope they continue to do this. There are so many people down there on Saturdays just hanging out and getting in the way of people trying to have a good time.
