Solomon in the City

Mel Solomon's site went live recently. It's just one simple (sad) page but I guess it's best to not get to fancy considering all of the trouble the guy has had on the Internet previously.

The vote is in the dead of winter but Mel has already found creative ways to get support. Previously, I took issue with the fact that he went looking for money in JoCo - Which many of us do but politicos might expect to owe something in return and that's just bad policy.

Currently, Solomon is citing Dick King (he-he) as one of his supporters. Unfortunately, Dick King (or at least the one I think he's talking about) is dead. Long live the Dick King! Anyway, if Solomon really does have Dick King's support and has roused him from the grave then I guess he is only the second Jewish guy I've heard of to be able to pull off that trick and he has my admiration (but not my vote).

Anyway, as you can see I had fun with one of his campaign photos. If you have a better joke (you probably do) simply clear out my text with your photo editor and send me what you come up with, I'll post it anonymously or with your name. Whatever you prefer.

  2. Nate Accardo - Crossroads condo developer (that everybody hates)
Ray Braswell - Scumbag TIF developer
    Tom Dunn - Construction magnate
Dick King - Dead TIF lawyer
Kurt & Marilyn Metzl - Jamie Metzl's Joco power parents
    Ollie Gates?

Solomon is a douchebag. Bought and paid for by all that is wrong with Kansas City politics.

  3. what is wrong with the metzl's? I thought Jamie would have made a great rep. I see your point on the others.

  4. The Metzls are just more monied elite. Interesting that Kurt and Marilyn are supporters but not Jamie. Didn't Mel work for Jamie? And he can't even get his endorsement?

I guess it's true. Jamie really is smart!

  5. Is Mel still alive? I didn't think that arrogant old prick would make it through cold and flu season.
