Recently, a longtime Kansas City political power player has adorned the pages of this blog and that inspired local insiders to share a quick thought that's appropriate for right now.
Accordingly . . .
MORE THAN A FEW KANSAS CITY INSIDERS OBJECT TO POLITICOS CONTINUING TO BOW DOWN TO MR. NUTTER!!!
Here's just a bit of what we heard last night . . .
"Just wanted to send you a message about one of the photos you recently put on your blog. The one with all of the late, great patrons of the KC Democratic Party. Here's the question: Does that look like the future to you??? Where is the diversity? Where are the young people? Where are the rising stars?
You could've taken the same picture in the 80s. In one image . . . That's what's wrong with our Democratic Party in KCMO and throughout the state."
As for the other image featuring Mr. Nutter and a reelection hopeful . . .
One KC Insider puts it bluntly . . .
"The biggest political donor turning our Jackson County Prosecutor, literally, into his lapdog . . . Gross."
Of course we realize Mr. Nutter has done quite a few nice things for Kansas City and everybody already forgave him for giving the boot to Doc Wheeler after the guy racked up more than a million worth of house debt.
But our TKC blog community is more interested in efforts to reinvigorate the Democratic Party rather than reliving glory days.

I wouldn't be so sure a picture of a worn out old man is enough to relect her she might be the cause of the first republican prosecutor in Jackson County I am sure they are looking at those numbers.

ReplyDeleteNutters only sphere of influence is the county, because no one in the real world cares about county government. His only victory in the last decade was working with sanders and sharp to block Sherwood smith from getting elected. Smith is loathed in Jackson county democrat circles anyway, and would have lost to just about any credible candidate.

While the Nutters are throwing money around to old political cronies and spending weeks in Hawaii, they have done away with Christmas bonuses and raises, even measley cost of living raises.
