TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! AMID RISING KANSAS CITY CRIME JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR MEAN JEAN PETERS BAKER STARTS REELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

In the past few weeks Kansas City has endured a horrific homicide and violent crime spike which has resonated throughout the nation. Ironically, increased child murder and more Kansas City mayhem sets the stage for the reelection campaign of Jackson County Prosecutor "Mean" Jean Peters Baker.

Special thanks to the more brilliant denizens of our blog community for the note on her second term try.  Remember that this isn't exactly a reelection because she was appointed by the County Exec for her 1st term. However, this bid does put a great many Missouri political insiders at ease because it confirms that she's not running for statewide Attorney General after all . . .

To wit . . .

CHECK THE TOP FIVE PROBLEMS CONFRONTING JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR MEAN JEAN'S REELECTION EFFORTS!!!

Here's a quick list of potential challenges . . . .

Kansas City Catholic Patrons Vs. Mean Jean

The JaxCo prosecutor has a great many supporters who endorse her prosecution against Bishop Finn but there are also BIG MONEY CATHOLIC PATRONS who didn't like the way she handled it. These disciples of the Church with deep pockets shouldn't be taken lightly and they could soon organize and seek political revenge for what many feel was religious persecution of an entire faith community over the misconduct of one perpetrator.

Debate About Slow Response Time For South Kansas City Quintuple Death Penalty Charges Awaits

Remember that our blog community questioned Mean Jean about almost a year's time it took to make sure the suspect in a QUINTUPLE SOUTH KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE was also facing capital murder charges. To her credit, she recently announced that she would pursue what might be her FIRST death penalty case.

Kansas City Kid Murder Uptick

Children are getting gunned down in this city at an alarming rate. Public frustration with this tragic trend could result in political payback.

JaxCo Exec Mike Sanders Can't Help

When he appointed her, The Jackson County Exec was at the height of his power . . . Now investigation from the Feds and an ongoing jail scandal have tarnished the rep of this local power player.

Judges Against Mean Jean???

Supporters of the prosecutor's office have consistently called out judges for their leniency and other curious decisions. Now these Kansas City power players have their first chance to push back against the endless local crime blame game.

Moreover . . .

What's important to remember is that the contest for Jackson County Prosecutor is one of many important elections that is often overlooked by the voting public despite its importance. Many voters don't even realize this is an elected position. The political contest is usually a low key affair with little public debate or opportunity for questions. Worst of all, local Democratic Party Insiders usually determine the winner of this vote before the first ballot is ever cast by way of backroom influence peddling.

And so, in a Democracy every candidate deserves an opponent and every election deserves to be reported. Sadly, that's rarely the case in Kansas City.
