Kansas City Stoplight Removal Roundup!!!

This morning The Kansas City Star finally discovers the impact of stoplight removal in Kansas City's urban core and local streets. What will we all do when the paywall goes live?

Anyhoo . . . Here's their contribution to the discussion:

Traffic lights dumped for stop signs in KC has many seeing red

This comes more than a month after Northeast News started filing reports on it: Traffic light changes spur neighborhood backlash

Right now . . .

THE TOPIC GAINING MOMENTUM IN KANSAS CITY IS THE EFFORT TO PUT THE REMOVED STOPLIGHTS BACK!!!

Check previous TKC reporting, blogging and sarcasm on the subject:

At the outset of the controversy TKC Tipsters provided EXCLUSIVE insight.

The controversy continued for most of October and started to put real pressure on the Council.

TKC FACT . . . Let's not forget the City is slated to remove 170 more stoplights in upcoming months and years . . . Mostly in the 3rd and 5th Districts. The topic came to light while Council was beating up on City Staff.

A Jermaine Reed Ordinance Saved The Day . . . Or at least brought the subject into the limelight @ City Hall.

Finally . . . City Council stopped stoplight removal for the moment.

There's more to report on this subject that seems to show City Hall out of touch with local residents . . . Especially in the urban core.

  1. Cindy Circo forgets she represents the voters instead off her pimp Sly. Every mistake they make including the Stop Sign mess she siides with the administration instead of the people who elect her. I won't forget just like a lot of voters.

  2. If you think politicians are stupid, just take a look at those who vote for them.

  5. Nice fuckup on the city manager's part. Cindy tried covering his ass but it is out there hanging in the wind. And it's a rather large target too.

  6. Time for a change in upper management.

  7. This is Jermaine's fuck up. Council members are prohibited from directing staff. DCM Davis does it to get sweet deals for his pals. Michael Brooks does it to shore up his broke office. Scott Taylor does it to take care of his friends. And Jermaine does it to secure votes or re-election. Good reasons to vote theses losers and meddlers out at the next election.

  8. Time to get rid of Troy and Sherri, the brain trust behind this idea.
