Kansas City and the silly stoplight removal was put on hold yesterday.
Check the round-up from Kansas City media:
Council Says 'Stop' On Stop Light Removals
Northeast News Rage Sparked A Great Deal Of Stoplight Backlash
Council members blast public works' handling of traffic signal issue
City Council was quick to get on the right side of this issue after the urban core, Northeast residents and just about everybody from confused drivers to crossing guards came out against the move . . . Check the TKC TRANSCRIPT of City Council posturing on the subject and I guess we count this as win for local politicos listening to neighborhoods after City Hall incompetence was clearly demonstrated.
Much better! Now the clowns that run the red lights will feel important again.
ReplyDeletePerfect example of how elected officials respond to the public while unelected city managers do really stupid things for their own reasons.
ReplyDeleteWe really should dump the City Manager system.
Watch the new leadership in public works throw the old city engineer under the bus.
ReplyDeleteElected government is better.
ReplyDeleteThe Northeast News actually broke this story. Kudos.
ReplyDeleteSly is a liar.
ReplyDeleteTroy will stand up for McIntire.
ReplyDeleteThat McIntire is a real bitch. She cares nothing for the people she suppose to serve. Its about fake cost savings and federal regulations. She is very insensitive. Good job Councilman Brooks.
ReplyDeleteI dont understand something why Troy is gettng out of it. Dont he run the city? He sucks.
ReplyDeleteTroy's contract is up next Spring. Many between now and then will go under the bus.
ReplyDeleteYou know you are in a big time metro area when removing stop lights is a headline!!!
ReplyDeleteMcintyre is arrogant. Not a good fit for Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteThis is Sharp and Reed grandstanding for relevance. They don't give two shits about these stoplights or the neighborhoods they impact. Troy running things is much much better than yahoos like Davis, Reed, Sharp, Ford, Curls and Circo running things.
ReplyDeleteThe voice of a loyal public works employee. He has spoken so it is as it shall be.
ReplyDeleteSherri and Troy should be fired with everyone on that side of the floor on 29.
ReplyDeleteI hear red lights are on again for Reed. Tickets for impersonating a Councilman and other violations! Just wait.
ReplyDeleteFor my old friend the public works director, watch your back. A few of your very closest friends are trying to make you the scape goat and get you removed from power. Think about who has the most to gain if you leave. Just sayin.
