Rising Kansas City Violence Threatens QT?!?

QT might be a victim of its own success . . . For years they've provided locals with a clean & safe place to make convenient supply run, gas up or grab a quick cup of coffee & a snack. Now, the chain endured deadly shootings over the weekend at two of their urban stores. 

The question . . . 

IS KANSAS CITY SUMMER VIOLENCE RUINING QT & RISKING SHUT DOWNS?!? 

Spare us the stats about nationwide crime drop or rigged KCMO percentages touted before the late summer crime surge. 

Fact . . .  

QT has confronted more challenges this year starting with a deadly double shooting in Westport. 

Similarly . . . 

We're not gonna share them but we've all seen so many "hood videos" of youngsters using the QT parking lot as their hangout spot. To be fair, some of the better locations where car enthusiasts show off haven't yet been touched by rising summer violence. 

Either way . . .

Because these high-traffic convenience stores frequently serve as vital neighborhood anchors providing 24/7 access to fresh food, fuel, digital banking, and basic household necessities, a corporate pullout would exacerbate local resource deserts, leaving residents without a dependable lifeline in their immediate community."

KCTV5: "A man is dead after Kansas City police say a road rage encounter turned into a deadly shooting over the weekend. The Kansas City Police Department says officers were called to the QuikTrip parking lot near W. 101st St. and Wornall Rd. around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday with reports of a shooting."
