DEADLY DOUBLE SHOOTING HOMICIDE IN WESTPORT SHOCKS WITNESSES & RESIDENTS!!!
We've done a bit of follow-up on this story and the spate of gunfire occurred amid a large crowd and there even some stragglers at the custard shop across the street . . . This wasn't just a late night altercation but an indication that endemic violence can quickly interrupt and otherwise idyllic early Summer night.
Sadly, we can only hope that Mayor Q won't hope to spin this crime as an excuse to include Westport in the tiny liquor bottle ban. And we're only halfway joking about that . . .
Meanwhile . . .
Here's the official report that KCPD shares with police along with the better TV news coverage . . .
Homicide 1200 block of Westport Rd.
