Kansas City Housing Surges After Sketchy Energy Codes Removed

Eco-rules stalled KC home builders and garnered EPIC complaints until years of local biz outcry and depressing building stats inspired a double take removal. 

Now . . .

Thankfully, it seems that KCMO enjoys a bit of a housing boom whilst whilst the rest of the state is slumping.

"Permits in the Kansas City metro area rose 5.7% in May, and they're up nearly 67% compared to a year before. The increase comes after Kansas City eased some of its energy efficiency requirements that developers say raised building costs."
