Climate Activists Repudiate Kansas City Energy Code Rollback

First and foremost, let's take a look at the legislation . . .

Northland Council dudes Willett & Rogers propose the change after years of complaints from builders and a dramatic drop-off in single-family home construction following new rules.

Moreover . . .

We've talked about the controversy for years and let's not forget that HOUSING PERMITS FOR SINGLE--FAMILY HOMES PLUMMETED TO ZERO in the first hundred days after the original Eco-legislation was passed.

Nevertheless . . .

We can't help but notice local climate activists claiming persecution and even threatening higher prices in a desperate attempt to hold on to the costly rules . . . Check-it:

"Last week, City Council voted in an ordinance that de-regulated the energy code, making it easier for wealthy developers to cut corners and drive up future energy bills for Kansas Citians. 😤

"This decision takes our building codes backwards! If we want more affordable, greener infrastructure in KC, we need Mayor Q to veto this ordinance before Thursday!"
