Jackson County Executive LeVota Responds To Justice Horn: Reckless Grandstanding

We should've posted this earlier but we want to make sure we have it right and give it as much time on the front page as the previous post that mentioned the controversy.

Like it or not, what's refreshing to many local voters is that Exec LeVota isn't afraid to "get into the weeds" and is exceptionally accessible to all of his constituents.

Jackson County Executive: Justice Horn

What a waste of time to have to respond but when someone continues to spread misinformation, even a young inexperienced politico like Justice Horn who is trying find his way,  it is important to correct the record. As County Executive, my goal is to get this administration going from where it was. When I took office, there were over 100 boards where members terms have expired or been unfilled. This week I appointed and reappointed over 80 quality people to various boards and commissions

Young Justice Horn’s assertions that he is being targeted for not being reappointed is just more of his reckless grandstanding that he thinks is gaining voters. It is not. It is turning them off.

For the record, Justice Horn was appointed by Frank White and his term has expired. Period. This entitled attitude that he thinks he is being targeted for not being reappointed is immature and unprofessional. Justice has my cell phone number and he never contacted me to let me know he was interested in being reappointed or with any other issues. Many others did. My goal is to appoint community members dedicated to quality representation to Jackson County and not those who use negative slash and burn politics to help them run for office.  Justice Horn and his buddy, Frank White have been involved in this  “attack and complain” politics for too long and Jackson County residents are sick of it.  Jackson County is done with Frank and Justice and their attitudes.

Horn was not targeted. I am assuming he understands that new representation on boards is important to the county. Heck, I thought that was his campaign slogan.

 He was part of Frank White’s administration as a Frank White appointee and his term expired. He has proven to me is not mature enough to be granted a position on any board that I am responsible in appointing. I wish him well and I hope he can grow into a more responsible candidate for office but at this rate, with his current demeanor, voters will not choose him. But he is young so I hope he can learn and I wish him the best of luck. And did I mention he's got my cell phone number?
