Jackson County Legislator Megan Smith might or might not deserve credit for using a great deal of discretion amid recent posturing over police funding.

"In today's budget meeting she was MOSTLY QUIET about challenging police COMBAT funding. Apparently, her recent statements sparked "concern" from police advocates and many people in her own community who don't want to have this fight."
