Jackson County COMBAT is the Community Backed Anti-Crime Tax, a 0.25% county sales tax that generates approximately $25 million to $30 million annually. It has been approved by voters to fund programs for drug abuse prevention, substance abuse treatment, and crime reduction. It allocates funds to local law enforcement, the Prosecutor's Office, courts, and corrections department, as well as supporting non-profits that provide prevention and treatment services. COMBAT's mission also includes violence prevention and supporting services for crime survivors.
