Maybe Dr. Carpenter's Smoke Shop Skill Could Save Hickman Mills?!?!

TKC readers noted Dr. Carpenter's recent career history first . . . TV news kinda buried the confirmation but we appreciate the follow-up nevertheless . . .  

And now we ask . . .

 C'mon man . . .

That's like Lean On Me with an even better soundtrack opportunity . . . And not so uptight. 

 And all of this is to say that we wish the Doc the very best and hope that he can help students.

After the jump we'll share a couple of quotes about his recent adventures and how they might help an embattled local school district now under investigation .  . .  

A Georgia radio station posted a video of Carpenter explaining his new venture as the owner of Exotic Smoker Vape and Smoke Shop in the area.

In the video, he expressed the business opportunity within the cannabis sector and was excited to grow the market in the South.

"I became a property investor around residential and commercial," he said. "Within some of that, we have shops. I mean, it's capitalism, right? That’s where America is founded on. That work and all of those experiences is tied with those educational experiences, are super phenomenal when right now in a time where budget is such a priority. And all the ventures I’ve ever been on had great budgets."

Regarding the current crisis the education leader said . . . 

The Hickman Mills School District is now launching it's own internal investigation into potential misuse of taxpayer funds as Missouri State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick sais his initial findings should make taxpayers "really upset." In two weeks as the Interim Superintendent, Dr. Dennis Carpenter has already tried to reign in the chance of school funds being misused. In 14 days, we've go from 47 credit cards in the district, I believe, down to about three," Carpenter said.
