TKC Told You So: Jackson County Exec Frank White Vetoes Recall

Today's not-so-surprising news is something that TKC readers talked about earlier this month. 

Credit to TKC readers for calling Frank White's recall veto on July 3rd.  

Fun fact . . . More than a few news outlets claimed this wasn't possible . . . And yet here we are . . . At the outset of another legal battle at the courthouse. 

Now, check the aftermath . . . 

"Jackson County Executive Frank White on Thursday vetoed an ordinance calling for his recall election in August.

"White, in a statement, called the measure unlawful, fiscally irresponsible and in violation of state and federal election laws.

"He said the ordinance would force local election boards to violate absentee ballot and overseas voter laws, while costing the county nearly $2 million without any appropriated funding."
