Shawnee Police Report Domestic Situation Involving Legislator Manny Abarca

Over the weekend we shared our perspective about troubles confronting Legislator Manny Abarca and our attitude about the impending situation . . . As always we're holding off on judgement until we hear both sides of the story and realize that domestic drama never really looks good for elected officials.  

And so . . . It looks like the news broke in a really bad way . . .  

Here's a glimpse at reporting and our hope that this sad situation is resolved without more heartbreak: 

According to police, a missing persons report has been filed and is under investigation as of June 1. Alexis Abarca tells FOX4 she last saw Manuel “Manny” Abarca IV on Thursday.

The mother of their two-year-old son, Manuel “Luca” Abarca V, says she last saw the toddler on Wednesday evening.

“I would want him to know is that I just want my son,” she said when asked what she’d like her husband to know.

“I want my son to be safe. I want my son to be with me . . .”

 Shawnee Police did share that “there is no immediate indication of danger”.
