Manny Probably Deserves Moment Of Grace

In the coming days we're going to see some drama emerge regarding First District Jackson County legislator Manny Abarca and NONE OF IT has anything to do with his ability to work as an elected official.

In fact . . . Let's be honest about the kind of jerk who runs this dump of a blog . . . One of the motivations of this post is to STICK OUR THUMB in any future local news coverage and remind the other local news outlets that they're only feeding off TKC scraps.

A nicer bloggy view . . .

Our advice in this situation is simple . . . Keep working and rise above it . . . Not that anybody needs our advice but what we know for certain is that there isn't any elected official in KC Proper who works harder than Mr. Abarca and we're CERTAIN that he's capable of doing the job that he was elected to perform.

Moreover . . .

TKC doesn't always agree with Legislator Abarca but, again, it's hard not to be impressed with his work ethic.

Something that might interest TKC readers . . .

Legislator Abarca has taken EPIC CRITICISM from Democratic Party insiders for his bipartisan collaboration with Legislator Sean Smith.

In fact . . .

Reaching out across the aisle on issues of property taxes, the budget and public safety has sparked vindictive hateration from one of the top Democratic Party consultants in Kansas City and made him a target of leading progressives.

Here's the thing . . .

Karma is a b*tch in Kansas City and the only thing we can be certain of is that people who deploy messy drama against their rivals TYPICALLY end up confronting their own problems in public shortly thereafter.

And so . . .

We're cutting off comments on this post but we're expecting a statement from Mr. Abarca soon and we'll open comments on that . . .

This post is merely a guide and advance note so that readers can accurately gauge how TKC regards the upcoming controversy. Readers don't have to agree with our tact but shouldn't say that they weren't warned ahead of time . . . If anything this is mostly a housekeeping note.

And so . . .

Here are the basics:

75 years writing this blog have taught us not to believe everything we see in print.

And then . . .

Maybe TKC is softening with age but personal drama suffered by politicos isn't really our bag unless it applies DIRECTLY to actions concerning elected office . . .

Of course there are exceptions that mostly apply to the lulz BUT we have a feeling that any future probs confronted by the Jackson County Legislator aren't much different than what we've seen in the past.

And so . . .

Again, all of this is merely to note where we stand along with our attempt to blog whatever future news on the topic ASAP here on www.TonysKansasCity.com.

Developing . . .
