A rising star Kansas City DJ, podcaster and presenter confirms that his fiery cruade for social justice cost him his job.

Earlier this month Hartzell Gray noted that he was "moving on" from his high profile gig at Sporting KC. 

And now . . . 

HARTZELL ADMITS HE WAS FIRED FOR ACTIVISM & SPEAKING OUT AGAINST DOWNTOWN STADIUM PLANS!!!

Bloggy speculation is one thing . . .

But a local media player sharing this personal drama might speak to many of the guy's loyal fans. 

Here's a snippet from his recent tweet in defense of his announcing job history and seemingly admitting that his outcry against the Chiefs whilst working for Sporting KC (also partially owned by the Hunt family) might not have been a good idea as far as job security is concerned . . .

"This is a racist, right wing talking point, akin to “shut up & dribble” What I do (& I’m very good at it) doesn’t negate my lived experiences of being a Westside tenant who loves his community. I’ve been fired for my advocacy, how am I a hypocrite?"
