Rising Downtown Kansas City Crime Shuts Down 'Cashless' Biz

Without question crime is getting worse in and around downtown Kansas City.

With the help of the BEST & BRIGHTEST TKC READERS it's important to point out one example out of many.

To wit . . . Here's the follow-up . . .

GOING "CASHLESS" DIDN'T SAVE DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY BIZ FROM SHUTTING DOWN THIS WEEK!!!

Remember . . .

We talked about the embattled small eatery earlier in the month and hoped that digital tech would assist their survival.

The location is just one block away from the streetcar line and apparently the foot traffic didn't help their case either.

A recent note from their FB . . .

Accordingly . . . Our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community asks . . .

WHEN/WHERE DOES THIS SPATE OF RISING KANSAS CITY CRIME END?!?!

KCMO has invested hundreds of millions in the streetcar but that doesn't seem to be helping.

This location is right in the middle of an EPIC real estate boom and developers are plunking down EPIC CASH to invest in this area.

And yet . . . We never see people walking around at night other than urban ruffians.

Car break-ins are common place and evenings are a cacophony of sirens.

This isn't fear mongering . . . TKC is comfortable with more than a bit of big city chaos inside the loop.

Update . . . Former KC Star newie Joyce Smith reports that these entrepreneurs are still hard at work in other parts of the metro.

Nevertheless . .  There SHOULD BE LEGIT CONCERN when there's no place for small biz near some of the biggest investments in Kansas City history.

Developing . . .
