Should Kansas City Finance Billionaire Or Risk Losing Royals?!?

Today sports talkers and civic pundits will be devoting hours to this topic but there's really only one question worth asking . . .

SHOULD KANSAS CITY ENGAGE IN EVEN MORE CORPORATE WELFARE OR KISS THE ROYALS GOODBYE?!?

There aren't any good options here but we wouldn't sweat it too much . . .

This deal was done before it was announced and now it's just a matter of selling the pipe dream to taxpayers who have already proven that they'll believe anything.

Here's the part that's more fun . . .

Mayor Q and everybody running for council will have to tap dance around very tough questions from anyone paying attention.

Basic economics have already informed us that these stadiums are losers and they never live up to promises . . . After the pandemic the idea makes even less financial sense.

Already, the Mayor seems set to put on his cheerleading uniform . . .

Sadly . . .

Local media will dutifully report hype, outright deception and blackmail without any balance.

What's worse . . .

Don't expect any organized opposition for a shameless handout that will push this town one step closer to bankruptcy in order to secure the fortunes of a billionaire and his mediocre franchise.

Developing . . .
