Dox: Outrage As Brian Platt Attempts Kansas City Zoo Takeover

A recently leaked city hall communication is raising a ruckus amongst insiders.

The basics . . .

CHECK THE CITY MANAGER'S TAKEOVER POWER MOVE TARGETING THE KANSAS CITY ZOO!!!

Preceding the note there's a very important passage we nearly overlooked . . .

"Attached is the letter that you requested."

Translation . . . The CM is demanding submission by way of 12th & Oak purse strings.

We'll follow-up on this one but here's what's important right now . . .

In much the same way the City Manager's office is attempting to hijack downtown stadium negotiations . . . The power move looking to swipe control of the zoo is also meeting with push back.

Real talk . . . The Zoo has much more powerful and strident supporters than downtown because locals love animals. So the takeover is going to be a tough sell.

And so . . .

Here's a peek at the doc that offers an inside look at the city manager consolidating his position before elections arrive . . .

The note deserves more scrutiny given that taxpayers from across the metro are putting in more for the Zoo every year.

Also . . .

Most residents believe that the City Manager's office has better things to do than play zookeeper.

Meanwhile . . .

The only reason our TKC blog community was able to get our filthy hands on this memo is because there is growing resentment & frustration with Brian Platt and more council members and the mayor's inner circle don't seem to want him around after election season.
