For Friday we have a special treat for loyal readers . . .
CHECK MAYOR Q SENDING AN E-MAIL OUR WAY ON THE TOPIC OF WESPORT SECURITY QUESTIONS FROM BILL NIGRO!!!
Context . . .
Mr. Nigro also needs to be taken seriously in regard to his longstanding idea which advocates better lighting in Westport that might help identify and even dissuade potential gunmen. In this age of cheap LED technology . . . There really isn't any excuse for so many dark corners in this party district.
Accordingly . . .
We won't add much commentary to the Mayor's reply and instead share the communication with our AWESOME reader community . . .
Mayor Q RE: Civil Rights Monitors
Mr. Nigro and Mr. Botello (since it appears Mr. Nigro sends these directly anyway),
My request is that you engage with the Westport Regional Business League that appears to be speaking for Westport in security matters. The viewpoint expressed by that group seems to be the opposite perspective of that which you are sharing. I understand there very well may be a diversity of viewpoints in Westport as to a path forward for security, but to the extent such debates can be resolved in Westport, that assists the City in knowing which direction has the strongest community support.
Should you want my assistance in arranging a broader Westport neighborhood discussion on this important issue with the varied stakeholders, I am happy to help.
