Kansas City Parade Of Hearts Is For Simps?!?

First, as always, let's define terms . . . 

Simp is a slang insult for men who are seen as too attentive and submissive to women, especially out of a failed hope of winning some entitled sexual attention or activity from them.

Okay, maybe that's a bit harsh . . . BUT, it puts is in the right frame of mind and kind of explains the lead image for people unfamiliar with TV history . . . Did you know that there was a nixed story on Friends wherein Gunther got a turn chance with Rachel??? . . . This not so fun fact is only important to GenXers who are trying to make use of their unused streaming subscriptions. 

Respect to Gunther, the greatest simp of Gen X.

But I digress . . .

As we've argued successfully the Kansas City 'Parade Of Hearts' Is Schmaltzy Not Artsy. And this whole affair seems like a low-rent promotion dreamed up by Visit KC hacks, not people who actually care about artistic merit or building community.

In the Parade of Hearts, each of the 5-foot hearts has KC etched in the center, but otherwise they all have unique concepts with special stories behind them.

The organization already has photos and details posted online of all the hearts located on both sides of the state line. You can see who the artist is behind each heart, where it’s located and more. You can also find an abbreviated list here.

The Parade of Hearts will be on display throughout the Kansas City are through May. Then organizers say they’ll be auctioned off to the highest bidders. All funds raised will stay in the Kansas City region.
