BUDGET ROUND ONE: KCPD NEEDS MORE CASH!!!

The highlight from today's budget showdown was a request for more cash for personnel and tools. 

Let's not forget that an emergency plan from Council Lady Heather Hall to fund a new recruiting class was shut down yesterday. 

And so, the debate begins again with Mayor Q on the losing side of a lawsuit over 42 MILLION BUCKS that was never "reallocated" to a sketchy slush fund.

"This is the first of many discussions for police funding. The topic it is bound to become contentious as the months wear on. These meetings are happening because the board of police commissioners filed, and won, a lawsuit against Kansas City, Missouri."
