There's an interesting bit of gossip circulating around 12th & Oak today that's sparking a great deal of conversation.

CITY HALL INSIDERS QUESTION MAYOR Q'S CLOSE CONNECTION TO THE NEW CITY MANAGER THAT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE FAMILY!!!
Actually, we know even more about these rumors but we don't feel like hearing a lecture on the law from Mayor Q.
For now . . .
What we can "report" (#Journalism. LULZ!) is that the talk on the 29th floor is fast and loose and targets both of these power players.
The chatter also includes the wives of these KCMO leaders but as TKC moves closer and closer to street level and eventually begging for change near some hopefully comfy curb . . . All white women look like saints to me and I wouldn't dare question their inherent kindness or the purity of their hearts.
Also, I'm looking closely and I only see a slight family resemblance betwixt Mayor Q and City Manager Brian Platt . . . He's about a half foot taller with a bit more hair on his head. However, my younger brother also towers over me now that blogging, age, coffee and joke-fueled contempt for my betters has reduced my bone density.
But here's the real deal . . .
CITY HALL IS PUSHING BACK AGAINST THE MAYOR & NEW CITY MANGER!!! THEY'RE WEAK WITH LITTLE COMMUNITY SUPPORT SO THE BUILDING AND MANY OF THE PEOPLE IN IT ARE NOW APPLYING PRESSURE AGAINST THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION!!!
Other contenders have emerged, the Mayor will confront a cadre of challengers if he decides to run for reelection now that his plan to champion social justice during his administration has backfired.
And so the rumors will continue whilst the reality is that Mayor Q isn't strong enough to contend with something worse than the political opposition of Missouri Conservatives . . . He now confronts growing doubt amongst his own supporters.
