Kansas City Recycling Bin Shortage Betrays Climate Action Hype!!!

Ask around and notice that Kansas City replacement "recycling bins" aren't just in short supply, they're impossible to find.

For those who don't know, the recycling bins are an important component of a program that encourages locals to do their part and cut down household waste.

Check the mission statement . . .

KC Recycles is Kansas City’s curbside recycling program. Recycling is voluntary and residents can set their recyclables out every week or less often on an as-needed basis. The KC Recycles bin signals the recycling truck to stop.

And now . . .

Ace Hardware, Price Chopper and every local outlet are sold out of the bins. Sales associates reveal that the supply from KCMO had dried up and there's no word when more will be available.

What's important here is context . . .

Remember that Mayor Q and Council dude Eric Bunch signed on to show their support for the Green New Deal not so long ago in order to save the planet from certain doom in less than 12 years according to Congress lady Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

And now . . .

DESPITE SUPPORT FOR THE GREEN NEW DEAL, THE KANSAS CITY RECYCLING PROGRAM IS UNSUSTAINABLE IF MAYOR Q & COUNCIL DUDE BUNCH CAN'T GET MORE BINS DELIVERED!!!

Sure, saving the planet, participating in a "climate strike" and speaking before enthusiastic young people is fun . . . But it's unclear if KC leaders are ready to save the world if they can't manage to ensure the supply of trash bins.

You decide . . .
