TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY PETITION TO REPEAL DEFUND POLICE ORDINANCE COMING SOON!!!

We're all guilty of making the same mistakes over and over.

For instance, I've never questioned the sincerity of white women with big butts.

Never have, never will.

More importantly . . .

Mayor Q is making the same mistake with hastily passed legislation that has angered voters across the city.

Sadly, every reporter in Kansas City doesn't have a memory longer than this week's news cycle so we're forced to offer a reminder.

REMEMBER THAT 'SAVE THE PASEO' VOTERS SHUT DOWN MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS WITH THE POWER OF A DEVASTATING CITIZEN INITIATIVE PETITION!!!

We didn't agree with the "Save The Paseo" church standoff and quite a few of their tactics up to and including pretending that local Latinos cared about the issue.

Nevertheless, it's a fact of life that they were successful in pushing back an effort championed by then councilman Q.

Quickly after the Save The Paseo crew earned their victory, Mayor Q was quick to backpedal and distance himself the doomed legislation he helped devise.

Credit where it's due, only Mark Alford and the Fox4 morning news team called him out on the issue and put him on the spot in an interview that's still worth a look.

And here we are again . . .

Along with an impending recall . . .

As Missouri politicos prep to shut down Kansas City's defund police effort.

WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE MISSOURI GOP, ORGANIZERS ARE WORKING ON A PETITION TO REPEAL MAYOR Q'S DEFUND THE POLICE  ORDINANCE!!!

Even better . . .

The voter smack down is intended to demonstrate how little support local control and police "defunding" have in Kansas City.

Caveat . . .

Behind the scenes there's still a debate over this course of action and some Missouri politicos want to be first to smack down the mayor and rip his ordinance to shreds.

Nevertheless, an ordinance repeal initiated by voters is just one of many ways that Kansas City's Northland hopes to rebuke the mayor and council members who voted without consulting council members across the bridge, without presenting a budget and without allowing public testimony.

Developing . . .
