  1. KC Parks and Rec is in the best situation to help with the homeless crisis. The expansion of police into KC Parks & Rec needs to have a closer look as to what this police for will look like in 20 years.

  2. Rather than trow money at new NGO's. Parks and Rec land area is massive. It takes an eye sore or the mistake that Paseo is Black Wallstreet KC. Parks and Recs does a lot of lawn mowing. Just that budget of gas and mowers seems to be justified while other areas of park property get Park police setting up spy cameras for what is described as crime. Homeless people are tired, hungry, under medicated, over medicated and all of these conditions are considered crimes by the DA. Never mind the DA doesn't look that close at arrest procedures. So the jails fill up and abuse of funds are allowed and over looked. People get out of jail, let's not forget they deserve to be treated humanly inside and outside of jail.

  3. Not only do we need local control of police we need a community board of parole. Many small towns and cities don't need a board of parole because they dump their prisoners in the parks in KCMO.
