KANSAS CITY REACTS TO FORMER POLICE OFFICER DEREK CHAUVIN FOUND GUILTY IN MURDER OF GEORGE FLOYD!!!

The jury has spoken.

UST: Derek Chauvin found guilty on all counts in the murder of George Floyd

And so it's up to our blog community to offer perspective that won't be found in any other mainstream outlet.

Close readers should know that we're soon to change up the comments here at TKC in desperate search for some semblance of revenue and given that we have been at the forefront of the local discourse for more than a decade yet Kansas City mainstream media has selfishly denied us any opportunity for advancement or recognition.

And so, we advise our readers to commemorate what will likely be the last major news event for this version of our discussion.

Even better, and even if in vain, we ask KICK-ASS TKC READERS to share their most thoughtful and poignant remarks from EVERY PERSPECTIVE without delving into hate speech, epithets or racially charged language.

There's a lot to unpack in this verdict and for now . . .

Let's start with a statement from Kansas City Police:

"We understand how difficult it has been to relive the events of the death of George Floyd. The nation has watched the coverage of the trial of the former officer charged with killing him. We support the criminal justice process and the outcome in which it resulted in this case. The announcement of the verdict will spark powerful emotions in our community. Everyone is entitled to express those emotions and make their thoughts heard. It is the Kansas City Missouri Police Department’s mission to safeguard and protect the Constitutional rights of all individuals participating in First Amendment activities and assemblies. You can read our new First Amendment policy here.

"We look forward to assisting the people of Kansas City in their demonstrations and stand ready to work with any organizers to ensure they can exercise their rights."

A statement of protester solidarity from Mayor Q:

"This was the right result—accountability. George Floyd should be alive today, as should many others. I appreciate the jury’s work. Now we must continue ours. Keep up the pressure."

From The Executive . . .

“Today, like so many other people of color, I watched the developments unfold in Minnesota in fear. I was in fear that once again we would see a police officer walk free after murdering a black man, simply because the officer uttered the now infamous phrase, “I feared for my life.”

“Watching the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a man who had sworn to serve and protect him was one of the most painful experiences I have witnessed in my lifetime — a lifetime in which I have personally experienced racism, hate and discrimination. Unfortunately, Mr. Floyd’s tragic murder is one of many that we have seen repeated countless times against people of color — particularly black men. And in each of those times, our community gathered loudly, passionately and peacefully for justice. Today’s verdict is the result of men, women, and children of all ages and races standing together and saying, “Enough is Enough!”

  11. 4:58 Guilty on all three?

    1) Being white
    2) Being white
    3) Being white.

    Again -

This cop was convicted for "Copping" while white. Reasonable doubt? He was categorically innocent and the autopsy results proved it. But..., who cares? The mob runs the country from the streets to the Capital.

    1) No evidence but the Jury not isolated and sees on TV and social media:
    2) Demands from the US President, US Vice-President, members of Congress and media for guilty verdict.
    3) Media working really hard to dox names and addresses of Jury.
4)US President, US VP and members of congress endorse threatens to burn down cities if no guilt verdict.
    5) Media endorsed threats from members of congress and other leaders of the “civil rights movement”… guilty or we destroy your cities.
    6) Riots and armed BLM shown on TV, every day during the trial.
Ex-Residence of a witness vandalized in CA.

This was, as I have said, a Star Chamber Show Trial. Derek Chauvin is now marched up the hill to Golgotha where he will spend the next couple of decades in solitary confinement..., for doing his job.

It's a fuckin disgrace and the United States is another country now, not my own.

Our Mayor is no better than Maxine Waters calling for justice by way of the power of violent thugs in the streets whom he wants to "Keep up the pressure".

Fuck you mr. mayor and your Fascist heroes who replicate exactly the Fascist fucks in the streets in Germany in the 1930's.

THERE IS NO RULE OF LAW. Only many tiered 'injustice system' that represents the innate brute force of the BLM/AntiFa Imperium and "Keeps the pressure" of the jack booted thugs in Washington D.C. on our collective necks as the memory of the Republic is lost in the Gas Lighting White Noise produced by snakes in the 4th Estate.

  16. There absolutely WAS reasonable doubt.

There was reasonable doubt. Floyd had enough Fentanyl in his system to kill someone 5 times over with the symptoms he was experiencing. Recall he was in the squad car saying "I can't breathe" and kicking and demanding to be out. It was also Floyd who demanded to be put on the ground. Fentanyl wasn't the only thing. Furthermore the full video (and those from other angles) show that Chauvin shifted his weight and moved around quite a few times which would cancel out any possibility of too long on an artery, etc. Now if you go off of JUST the video the media has been pushing for months you'd have a point. If you have seen all the other things then there definitely was grounds across the board for reasonable doubt. This verdict is about fear of retaliation from the mob, plain and simple. It is not justice. It is cowardice. That though is the status quo these days. Bravery is becoming a rare commodity. It is not brave to run with the crowd either. It is not brave to claim to be the resistance when the entire time you've been propped up by establishment (In office 30+ years) politicians, and their media propaganda arms. That is not resistance, or revolution. That is useful idiots for those that have been in power for a long time. They also love it when we fight amongst ourselves. They just gain more power and wealth when that happens.

Chauvin was guilty of being white and attracting the attention of the media.

Among young white liberals, 46% reported being diagnosed with a mental health condition, a rate much higher than young white moderates (26%) and young white conservatives (21%).”

  100. Speaking as to the majority of US attorneys. A Guilty On All Counts would considered in this case to be a statistical rarity, whereas a Not Guilty On All Counts would be feasible due to the requirement of proof beyond a reasonable doubt, which would include multiple health and drug factors. Fentanyl alone can easily flip the switch on autonomic nerve impulses that are necessary for breathing.

Something besides the facts is in play here. Keep in mind there is a growing number of White people giving in to the White Guilt syndrome in this country.

    PLUS FEAR!!!

  103. I am livid due to the obivious omission of the "without a reasonable doubt" requirements.
But I now share the the Black folks pain of perceived injustice of an opposing judicial outcome.
White America and Law Enforcement just got handed their a$$ on the World stage.
    No other verdict was acceptable.
We all know what happened and why.
Any objections, justifiable or not is going to be considered whining and sad.
The saying about the bear applies.
I will still be law abiding, reasonably wealthy and beautifully White in the morning. Winning!

  105. In other news, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Dorsey of Twitter, The Google Boys, and a host of lesser tech oligarchs continued to increase their wealth by tens of millions (if not hundreds of millions) of dollars today alone.

They're very smart to understand how well outrage and hatred sells, to promote the hell out of racial and ideological division, to addict people to their products, and to distract the masses from coming after them.

Americans are foaming at the mouth over all the wrong issues, and targeting all the wrong villains.

  107. serious question (a la Opie, the luckiest "actor" in america): how is it that pelosi and maxine waters are still going...what will ever stop them...i mean they don't even succumb to normal old age shit...i deal with people of all ages with all kinds of health concerns, but for them nothing stops them...sure, their brains are broken but it doesn't matter...yea, they are quoted and applauded by the same people who say maude, boomer, etc.

  108. JUST HOW WRONG DID THE JURY GET IT?

Minnesota Statutes Sections 609.19 – Murder in the Second Degree
    What’s Prohibited?

Minnesota law prohibits intentional and unintentional killings under most circumstances. Those killings prohibited as second-degree murder include:

Killing a human intentionally, but without premeditation (not thinking about or preparing for before)
Killing a human while committing or attempting a drive-by shooting
Causing someone’s death without intending the death of anyone, while committing a felony other than criminal sexual conduct (rape or sexual assault which would be first-degree murder) or a drive-by shooting
Causing a death unintentionally, while intentionally inflicting or attempting to inflict great physical harm on the victim when the murderer is currently restrained by a protection order (including for domestic violence, harassment, divorce, or any similar protection order) and the victim was the protected party in that order

THIS IS CLEARLY NOT APPICABLE IN THIS CASE, AND THE CHARGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN QUICKLY DISMISSED BY JURORS IN EARLY DELIBERATIONS.

Minnesota Statutes Sections 609.195 – Murder in the Third Degree
Third-degree murder in Minnesota is causing someone’s death by one of two ways:

A depraved heart or mind murder, which places others in eminent danger of death and disregarding human life (such as shooting a gun into a crowd for fun, but not intending to kill anyone)
Causing someone’s death by selling, giving away, or administering a Schedule I or II controlled substance (such as selling someone adulterated heroin that kills them)

THIS TOO IS NOT APPICABLE TO THIS CASE AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN QUICKLY DISMISSED BY LOGICAL JURORS.

Minnesota statute 609.205 defines second-degree manslaughter as when a person kills another human being under these conditions: Creating a risk that has been deemed unreasonable and consciously taking the chance of causing severe harm to another’s body or death to another human being. This risk is considered culpable negligence.

THIS IS THE ONLY CHARGE WHICH JURORS SHOULD HAVE DELIBERATED. THE DEBATE SHOULD HAVE CENTERED UPON ARGUMENTS PRO/CON WHETHER CHAUVIN ACTED UNREASONABLY AND AGAINST HIS TRAINING WHEN RESTRAINING GEORGE FLOYD, WHO HAD PASSED COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY, CONSUMED ILLEGAL NARCOTICS, AND RESISTED ARREST, ALL WITH A HISTORY OF SEVERE HYPERTENSION, SEVERE CORONARY ARTERY BLOCKAGES, AN ABNORMALLY ENLARGED HEART, RECENT AND CHRONIC INGESTION OF FENTANYL/METHAMPHETAMINE, 2 VEHICLE PASSENGERS KNOWN TO BE HABITUAL ILLEGAL NARCOTIC USERS/SELLERS, A HEROIN OVERDOSE IN MARCH 2020, SIMILAR BEHAVIOR DURING A MAY 2019 TRAFFIC STOP, PRIOR PRISON INCARCERATION FOR VIOLENCE, ETC.

Democrats oppose police and the rule of law, which are integral to a civil society. They hold up and idolize those who prey upon the innocent and law-abiding citizens.

  113. It's not about Democrats or Republicans..Its about training and policies. Every Officer that has attended an Academy KNOWS!! You NEVER put your knee on a prone out persons back!! Always taught officers to place their knee on the shoulder blade..Not the neck.. DT officers know that will cut the blood circulation to the brain causing a person to pass out or worst cardiac arrest.

As with the Taser incident..Training!! Always carried the Taser on the weak side hip or leg.. Did she mean to shot the person..No.. Should a 26 year veteran know better YES.. Will she see the jail cell..Yes! Police aren't above the law and when they commit crimes. They should be punished.

There a lot of solid police officers without a doubt.. Truth be told every dept has a hotdog or two.. Front line officers and Commanders know who they are. Its time to remove these cancers and build depts across America the world would mirror..

  115. Bottom line, once again a criminal has been falsely elevated to sainthood.
Once again a President has used his office against a police officer in favor of a violent criminal drug addict to apease the easily politically placated immature woke minds.

A public servant is now going to suffer for the poor life choices of yet another victim of the Black culture that is (tongue in cheek) traceable back to some White indiscretion at some past event.

Is the public servants life more important than the violent criminal drug addict? In the eyes of God, No!
In eyes of a law abiding citizen dealing with the here and now, Yes! After many years of being a burden to society and putting yourself and others in harms way, if you meet your end, no tears, no praise. I will vote public servant everytime. Rule of law, not of thugs or mob or political opportunist.

  118. Why RRAST at 10:32 comment is wrong:

#1 Testimony in the trial included the fact that a knee placed on the neck DOES NOT stop blood flow to the brain. Only sustained pressure to BOTH sides of the neck (as in a manual stranglehold) can do that. Review your carotid artery anatomy, and learn there are 2, one on each side of the neck.

#2 You wrote, "You NEVER put your knee on a prone out persons back!!"
Do you want to retract this statement? It's obviously incorrect.

#3 As far as the Taser/service weapon case, that was clearly a mistake in the heat of the moment. The officer made a mistake, but I wouldn't charge her with murder. Yet another instance of a Black male resisting arrest, breaking free from one officer, re-entering the vehicle and fleeing officers while placing everyone at risk needlessly.

Why can't Black males follow the law?
