KANSAS CITY EASTER EVICTION!!! HOMELESS CAMPS IN WESTPORT & DOWNTOWN ORDERED TO VACATE!!!

For late night denizens of our blog community we share news that authorities have heard the complaints of nearby residents and merchants and now offer ample warning to Kansas City homeless denizens camping out on public property.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY HOMELESS CAMPS ORDERED OUT BY EASTER SUNDOWN!!!

Let's not forget that this protest has been ongoing for WEEKS and neighborhood outcry is reaching a boiling point.

Meanwhile, the KC Homeless union has attempted to latch on to progress from KC Tenants and Fight For $15 (Stand Up KC) activists.

Sadly, those groups are funded by national political interests and local homeless don't have that luxury.

A couple of passages that stand out from tonight's news . . .

"Some local shelters have even relaxed their entry requirements to allow more people to qualify for a bed, and for other services."

And then . . .

City officials released a statement Saturday saying that this encampment needs to be dissolved. Saying, “the situation has moved beyond that of a protest and has become a public health and safety issue.”

The statement details the conditions at the City Hall encampment. They include the confiscation of weapons including a firearm, property damage, etc . . .

And, as is our tradition, all of this inspires our playlist for tonight . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.

  2. The city should have done this long ago...if not for the lack of leadership from the mayor on down

  3. They don't have any where to go.

What part of homeless do you not understand?

  6. Have the Mayor’s hopes of turning KCMO into another Seattle or Sam Francisco been dashed? Poor little guy. All of his attempts to appear useful to the Democraps keep being thwarted by the people! Boo hoo!!!

  7. The homeless are vermin and need to be treated like s h it. They are not human. They are evil. They do not work, they do not clean themselves, they are not part of the working society. They are the true enemy within.

    1. Wrong
They are human beings and your fellow Americans
Why don’t you ask your mayor why he does nothing for them when he has the ability to do so?

  8. Sundown Laws: in KCMO?
Doesn't quite meet the SJW vibe that Mayor McKneely tries to get so much face time out of.
Will he be on site kneeling to keep his employees from doing their jobs?
    Sad.

  9. Happy Easter from your Mayor Quinton Lucas the one who said he would take care of you and bring affordable housing, have the black panthers watch over you and bring you into a utopia. But instead he is going to help the illegals who get to come in for free and evade our laws and live off of our tax dollars and get free health care. Sorry folks that's all. FOOLS

  10. That a resolution to this situation required more than two minutes of thought tells you just how poorly this city is run.

This type of "soft insurrection" is just as bad - legally and morally - as the Jan 6 invasion of the Capitol . . . but the press paints illegal actions by liberals as heroic.

    It's all branding . . .

Why people still believe anything they see in the press, or online, or from the government, points to just how gullible, fearful, and intellectually lazy Americans really are

  11. @ 8:04 - I think you are wrong. What about the porta-potty at City hall these people didn't use but crapped on the grass and pissed on the building. What about the warming center at the Ex-convention center, since you'll never get the stench of these people out of it. What about kneeling with the protestors and giving BLM free reign in the city? None of this stuff should ever have been allowed to get started and this standing up to these people that take and take and take but never produce anything but stink is finally the right thing to do. If they want to be treated like normal people then they have a responsibility to act like normal people.

  14. "They don't have any where to go. What part of homeless do you not understand?"

Well they were homeless before they invaded Westport and City Hall, and yet they found somewhere to go. Now they can just do that all over again.

There are vast empty spaces in the Missouri and Kansas countryside where they can relocate. It would be worth a few taxpayer dollars to hire a few trucks to take them there.

  15. Byron doesn't have any homeless people in is Southern White Enclave. He lectures us about things he doesn't deal with in any way, shape or form. It's similar to how he preaches the value of diversity when he doesn't live around or deal with any black people. If it isn't happening to him directly he can't have any empathy. It is a sign of simple mindedness.

  16. @8:04 - They are human beings, and they may be Americans (if legal). However, when they violate numerous laws, shouldn't they also be held accountable for their actions? Harassing and intimidating area residents, stealing from area businesses, vandalism, trespassing . . . the list of violations goes on and on.

But they aren't bound by laws prohibiting such behavior, and you seem to agree that they should be immune from repercussions. They make life miserable for residents and business owners solely in order to try and put pressure on public officials to bend to their demands.

That's not justice . . . that's extortion and mob rule - against innocent third parties - at best. If you're so worried about rights, then you should also be worried about those who rights are stolen by the squatters you wish to protect.

But, you don't care about them . . . do you? Justice, in your mind, only applies to those that fit into your ideological mindset.

  20. “They have nowhere to go.” BULLSHIT. There are plenty of shelters and they are even loosening some restrictions as stated in the article, but the bums don’t like rules like no drugs or alcohol or no stealing, so they invade our public spaces and terrorize us citizens and destroy our businesses, peace of mind and safety. Stupid, liberal IMBECILE!!!

  21. They need to go to El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and other countries that are sending people to America to get get freebies on the taxpayers' backs. I'm sure they can get some free housing and food in those countries.

  22. The Biden/Harris administration is proposing we change the name of the United States of America to North Mexico. The Libtards are sending all these illegal immigrants, many with COVID, to the red states. It's obvious they are trying to put financial pressure and burdens on these states and turn them blue. Libtards are the most dishonest, pathetic group of people on Earth.
