Will Satchel Paige's home ever be restored?
The former home of baseball great Satchel Paige sits in disrepair and his daughter, Linda Shelby, other members of the Paige family, want to see their former home restored, but only there is a collaborative agreement with the Paige family.
In other words the family wants the taxpayers to foot the bill for fixing a building the family did not maintain.
ReplyDeleteSatchel Paige does not live here anymore. Like many other residents he got a chance to get the hell out of here and he took it and ain't been back since.
ReplyDeleteWILL KILLA CITY EVER BE RESTORED
ReplyDeleteWhy? The guy's been dead for 30 years, and his family let the house rot.
ReplyDeleteNot the taxpayer's problem
If the black community won;t pony up let it go. Call frank White or better yet Lebron hes got lots of money. Brothers don't like baseball much anymore anyway.
ReplyDelete^^Old people are so lame and pathetic. This is all you losers do?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Jew who owns Penners will pay for it. God knows he raked for decades off of the morons.
ReplyDelete^^Or maybe, fingers crossed, you'll die in the night. We can all hope can't we?

ReplyDeleteOf course this house can be restored but who in their right mind would put the money and labor into it in a city and area that destroys? I did a big job in Central Hyde Park and got slapped in the face for helping the neighborhood. The good news is, the people who bought my house have cheapened it and are letting it run down again.
Yeah, sounds like the family got greedy. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI met him twice!
