Royals agree to four-year, $82 million contract extension with Salvador Pérez

The Royals have agreed to a four-year, $82 million contract extension with All-Star catcher Salvador Pérez, according to multiple reports. The 30-year old was in the last year of a five-year, $52.5 million deal and was eligible to be a free agent after the season.

  4. A $4 million, 82-year contract would have been better. His playing is not even close to what it once was (understandable with age and injury)and he's really there just to get fans to pay the ticket price and parking fee
