EPIC Salvy Contract Proves Kansas City Royals Aren't Serious About Winning

He's a fan favorite, people LOVE the dude and his mere presence draws people to the stadium. Salvy is a marquee player but there's no doubt his skills are diminished and injuries have taken their toll on him.

And so, the Royals continue to follow the same path the kept them in playoff drought for more than a generation.

Check-it . . .

Royals agree to four-year, $82 million contract extension with Salvador Pérez

The Royals have agreed to a four-year, $82 million contract extension with All-Star catcher Salvador Pérez, according to multiple reports. The 30-year old was in the last year of a five-year, $52.5 million deal and was eligible to be a free agent after the season.

A $4 million, 82-year contract would have been better. His playing is not even close to what it once was (understandable with age and injury)and he's really there just to get fans to pay the ticket price and parking fee

Give up the woke shit and we'll be back. First BLM tribute and I'm gone again. Salvy or no Salvy. As for his value, I think his days behind the plate are numbered. I see him at first base or DH. Could end up as a coach even. He needs to be a Royal.
