TKC READER EXCLUSIVE!!! RURAL MISSOURI COVID VAXX ENVY INSPIRED BY KANSAS CITY MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS IS DISGUSTING POLITICAL TACTIC!!!

The latest local manifestation of the political pandemic debate attempts to blame COVID vaccine scarcity on Missouri Republicans and worsen the racial, cultural and partisan divide betwixt rural and urban communities.

To wit . . .

IN AN EPIC NOTE JUST SENT OUR WAY, AN OLD SCHOOL TKC READER DENOUNCES MAYOR Q'S COVID BLAME GAME!!!

First, just a bit of recap as the nation celebrates the Johnson & Johnson COVID single shot approval . . .

COVID vaccine for rural communities in Missouri has moved more effectively and recent events were opened up to the public because of new supplies.

In fact, the influx of additional COVID vaxx doses inspired speculation that was ultimately disproved.

Rumors swirled vaccine went to waste in rural Missouri. Officials say that’s false

As KCMO cars trek out to the Show-Me State, here's the controversy dutifully relayed by the newspaper . . .

Missouri’s COVID-19 vaccine strategy shortchanges KC’s most vulnerable, officials say

The Mayor's money quote . . .

Mayor Quinton Lucas said Missouri’s structure was fundamentally flawed. People without a primary care physician or insurance may not seek services at a hospital or health system except in emergencies.

“These are the sorts of things that are incredibly stark and they will lead to this perpetual inequality because the health department actually knows how to reach a population that finds themselves in these ZIP codes with lower life expectancies,”

Lucas said during a phone interview this week. “I am not sure our hospital groups are as strong in reaching out to those groups. “It angers me actually.”

And finally we get to our KICK-ASS READER COMEBACK . . .

"Disgusting. The mayor trying to get political mileage out of people fighting for their lives is one of the lowest things I've ever witnessed from an elected official in my city.

"Kansas City is not an island. These are neighbors we're talking about. These are seniors he's holding in contempt.

"Has he no decency? Has he no compassion for rural Missouri?

"What's worse is that this debate isn't going to matter much in matter of days because there is more vaccine on the way.

"This 'controversy' has only shown us that there is no limit to the petty tactics of Mayor Lucas. There is no level low enough to which he will not sink in order to capitalize on a political opportunity. That's not leadership during a global crisis, it's not even effective partisanship.  The mayor has used a malevolent ploy and for all of our sake I hope he can see the error of his ways."

You decide . . .

  1. the mayor has always been this way. Must be new to KC.

  2. No doubt, the mayor would like to shut down business' all over Missouri.

    What an idiot.

  3. Actually, criticism of the Missouri vaccine distribution is well-founded. Distributing to "regions" on a purely per-capita basis fails to take into account other variables such as population density -- which not only tends to impact disease spread, but also concentrates medical care and personnel. Having driven most heath care and rural hospitals out of rural areas, the rural sick must come to urban areas for treatment. Also, urban areas can get the vaccine delivered faster and more efficiently -- an important issue in the "herd immunity" goal.

It is hard not to think that the actual problem that the GOV has is that so much of the vaccine might not go into arms of his favored color. But it is always possible that a GOVERNOR whose training is as a small-town sheriff simply does not know any better.

Actually, I agree with some of what Phil says, as cruel as it seems.

But in this case he is forgetting about negative perceptions about the vaccine.

In the big picture, giving the vaccine to rural, conservative whites goes a long way toward convincing everyone else that that it's not a trap.

But then there's the uncomfortable fact that envy simply isn't a good look for the mayor.

Looking at someone else's plate and complaining isn't very inspiring.

    2. Oh, Phil. You're not the mayor's lawyer. You look for racism everywhere except where it plainly exists--coming every day out of the boy mayor's mouth.

  4. Mayor McDrinkerson is the joke that keeps on giving. So incompetent and out of his depth that he can't see the shore.

  7. Whenever Mayor Lucas says anything is that he is a racist and views every issue as a racist does. Obama is the same way except Obama is more polished.

  8. I cannot overstate my admiration for the remarkable organization and efficiency displayed by the nearly 400 volunteers in the “Operation Safe” vaxx operation underway on the Cerner campus, adjacent to the NKC hospital.

With COPD, Covid represents a personal lethal threat. The courteous, friendly staff made this appointment almost enjoyable. 18,000 arm sticks to date. Amazing. I will add a quick (non-political) thanks to President Trump for enabling industry gear up to enable the "fast track" production of these life saving injections.

  9. While Joe Biden is still working on taping his Depends together; President Trump delivered three vaccines this is eliminating China Joe's Wuhan virus.

Thank you Donald J Trump for saving the world !

Racist Marxists like Mayor Lucas elbowed his way in line to obtain Trump's vaccine before the elderly and now he is bitching about Conservative rural areas being more efficient than KCMO on distributing the vaccine.

  10. Kansas City friends of mine were told, as part of the state distribution plan, that they could get the vaccine in Clinton Missouri. That's just organizational brilliance.

  13. For your information.....

Killer kc has given out 158,896 shots so far, we are second only to shitty Louis, 227,952 in shots given out. 386,848 out of 1,187,164. These two dimwit run crybaby shitties have taken 1/3rd of all the shots in a state that has 114 counties total and 6.4 million people.

Mayor mcdumbass needs to sit down and shut his lyin ass up.

Did everybody know that almost all the blacks are scared of this vaccine and are refusing to take it?

    1. Here's the thing, blacks are much more instinctual creatures than we are. On a fundamental level, below conscious thought, humans realize that following a crowd is not beneficial to survival, better to wait and watch. High level whites and low level blacks realize this. Brain dead progressives, and the militantly ignorant do not. So, progs, you and your stupid brethren get some vax, leave me and the blacks the eff alone. You've done nothing but fvck things up for the last 5 decades.

  14. Wow. 18,000 arm sticks at NKC and I still don't know anyone who has gotten the vaccine. How'd they get it?

    ReplyDelete
  15. As an example I live in the real east side and part of the third district that had hundreds of covid testing sites in the hood, not once were we allowed to get tested in the hood third district and not once did they have testing out our way. If we wanted to get tested we had to set something up with the health dept which could have been as far out as a week away. It’s the same thing with the vaccinations, they have the health dept vaccinations at all the city community centers in the central core, everyday and every week.

These people know they can get the vaccine anytime they want it, and therein lies the problem, they don’t want it.

Lucas is still trying to make it look like there’s a race problem when there isn’t and the city still doesn’t have a plan for the entire city, the covid task force hasn’t even come up with something yet. The mayor and dr wrecks has had a full year to prepare for this and they still got nothing, except to put the blame on someone else, it’s the dimwit way.

  16. 6:36 most people just sign up for it online some where. They do have guidelines as to who gets it right now, I think it’s still 65 and older, first responders and health care workers who got it first.

    1. I know lots of high risk people who has signed up online but their phones remain silent. Who were those 18,000 in NKC? Illegals?

  17. Mayor McSleazerson is a ghetto low-life with a middle school, petty vindictiveness that is unheard of in any politician I've witnessed to date. There is no bottom for this guy, and you can see the greasy shine on his face and bald head, and the weasely, furtive eyes more and more easily as each day passes. Anyone who supports this creature is not only an idiot, but an asshole of the worst kind.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Damn All Marxists. The fact that you don't know anyone who has gotten Covid, just means you simply don't know anyone. Your ignorance is truly something to see.

  22. Glad President Trump developed vaccines in record time so the worthless Democrat Mayors can fuck up the distribution and blame others like they always do. It's the Democrat Party way.

  23. Meanwhile at the White House, Joe Biden is safely tucked back in bed after getting lost in the West Wing.

  24. The mayor represents a large population that is heavily poor and heavily minority. In a state run by a rabidly conservative white political establishment that has a long and horrible history of short-changing and denigrating that population. He is within his rights and he is doing his best.

It is obvious that both Kansas City and rural Missouri have substantial populations of people who have little or no connection to medical and hospital resources. Vaccination is a matter of life or death for many of them.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Fuck you 7:20; KC and St Louis receives 95% of the federal and state tax money and spends it on corrupt activities that provide them kickbacks.

Have you ever been to a rural town in your life? Those people have less than those in KC and St Louis but respect law and order and take care of themselves without the constant whining of victim hood. Some even hunt to survive; so fuck your victim hood.
