Winter storm latest: Potent storm will bring freezing mix, snow to Kansas City Friday

A winter storm warning will take effect at midnight Friday morning for the entire Kansas City metro area, after the National Weather Service added Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas and Cass, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri to the warning.More counties in Kansas were also added to the warning, including Leavenworth, Linn and Miami.
