The owner of the River Market and Waldo establishments said Tuesday in a Facebook post that they had hoped to open for KC Restaurant Week, but 2020 “caught up” with them.
“We're currently looking for working capital and waiting on the 2nd wave of PPP loans, but the margins were too tight and we would never risk not making payroll, which means we'll have to remain closed,” the post said.
