Fire forces residents from KCMO apartment building Monday night

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - At least one person has been taken to the hospital and several others were rescued after a fire broke out at a Kansas City, Missouri, apartment complex Monday night. Firefighters responded shortly after 8 p.m. to a three-story apartment building in the 8000 block of Troost Avenue, but were pulled out of the building around 8:36 p.m.

All these horribly racist KCMO firefighters risking their lives on a frigid Kansas City night to attempt to protect a predominantly African American apartment community from a fire warms the cockles of my heart. I'm sure the supremely virtuous Kansas City Star will acknowledge how these awful firemen and women put aside their racism to help the residents of that apartment complex.
