We talked about this protester demand last night and today local newsies catch up to the ongoing protest that has shrunk in size to about a dozen.
Tents now adorn the sidewalk in front of city hall as these political activists accompany a great many homeless denizens inside the loop.
Brief aside . . . The protest is somewhat quizzical given that KCMO elected officials typically don't show up until Tuesday - Thursday . . . So the weekend demonstration doesn't really have much of a live audience. Still, social media livestreaming seems to be attracting a notable crowd.

Updated at 2:10 p.m. Saturday: Throughout the day, the number of protesters and tents on the lawn of the Kansas City Police department continued to increase. The sun rose on more than a dozen protesters Saturday who spent the night camped out at the Kansas City Police Department, demanding justice for a young woman who is nine-months-pregnant and was recently violently arrested by police.
