KANSAS CITY POLITICAL #TBT: ACTIVIST CLAY CHASTAIN CHALLENGES FORMER MAYOR SLY JAMES AND ALLEGATIONS OF AMERICAN SYSTEMIC RACISM!!!
This week we've seen former Kansas City Mayor Sly James reestablish himself on the national stage. He has made a few national news appearances, promoted his book and offered his insight into the current culture war. Many speculate the former Mayor is politicking for a D.C. appointment if the Democratic Party takes back the White House.
Meanwhile . . .
Renowned activist Clay Chastain hasn't been as lucky. He lost his congressional bid and continues an arduous legal fight against city hall to push a fixed rail transit past Mayor Q & Council.
Still . . . Tonight we share a word from this longtime denizen of the discourse in order to examine current cultural trends and a few statements touted by one of this town's most popular leaders.
Checkit:
Clay Chastain: Are Sly James, BLM and liberal democrats right? Is there systemic racism in America?
Sly James, BLM and many liberal democrats are trying to put citizens on a guilt trip by claiming racism is systemic in America. Many non-thinking people have been swept up into believing this false, damaging and defamatory charge.
Interestingly, Sly never alleged this while Mayor of Kansas City for 8-years during which Kansas City's black on black murder rate soared as he pushed white elitists projects. The systemic racism charge appears to be largely based on the brutal behavior of a few bad racist cops (that we must weed out of America's police force). No doubt, America has a few bad racist citizens in everything. But few, is not systemic.
In today's society and business world, where is there undeniable proof racism is systemic in America? In fact, who has really even bothered to define systemic racism? Let us assume it can be defined as a vast number of white Americans (still the country's majority) thinking they are genetically superior to minority races (especially blacks) and thus deprive them on that basis alone. If so, where is that attitude represented on the ground? In today's America, whites openly....worship with blacks, go to school with blacks, swim with blacks, marry blacks, play professional sports with blacks, vote with blacks, work alongside blacks, want blacks to succeed and are openly friends with blacks. Nationally, a majority of whites elected a minority black President. Locally, the majority of white Kansas Citians elected a black mayor three different times over me (1995, 2015, 2019) - a white man. Yes, people tend to naturally congregate with their own race (like in Japan, China, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Amazon, etc.) but that does not mean those people look down on other races as inferior to theirs. It usually just means people are more comfortable with others who look like them and share the same cultural and religious distinctions.
It is true many whites are upset over the on-going black on black violence taking place in American cities mostly by a small minority of economically-deprived black citizens. However, if a small segment of white people were committing most of the violent crime in America, would not blacks, and other minorities, also be upset by this? Being upset by something that endangers one's safety, terrorizes one's community and offends one's morals, is not the same as being upset over someone's race or skin color.
Many democrats, like Bernie Sanders, have called President Trump a racist. Where has the President ever said he believes his race superior to other races? Can any of his policies (even border security) be proven racist? How is the President's efforts to...lower black unemployment, create opportunity zones in inner cities, enact judicial reform and financially assist black colleges racist?
If Sly James, BLM and others want to claim that America and President Trump are racist, then they need to come to the debate with proof - not inflammatory, empty and racially-oriented rhetoric drawn upon an America of the past.
There is no clear way to prove this, but I believe the vast majority of white Americans (today) are not racist and accept all people equally so long as they are... peaceful, respectful of others, work hard, are not lazy and do their part to take care of their families, communities and neighborhoods.
Right now, it may be politically fashionable to put America on a racist guilt trip. However, I for one am not buying it.

You decide . . .
Clay should have been mayor of KC. I am sure he would have done a better job than quinton.

DeleteThere is a lot of systemic racism in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteYou CHUDS are just too blind or too stupid to see it.
If he was the toy choo choo would run on time. 😏
ReplyDeleteYeah, we have that fake black woman! Systematic racism! SEE?
ReplyDeleteTell em Clay
ReplyDeleteSystemic violence seems far worse than any systemic racism ...
ReplyDeleteBlack males aged 15-35 make up 3% of the nation’s population and are responsible for:
53% of all mass shootings
52% of all homicides
42% of all murders of on duty police
30% of all rapes
56% of all robberies
33% of all aggravated assaults
30% of all burglaries
38% of all 'Violent Crime'
33% of all crimes against 'families and children'
Did you control for poverty?
DeleteRich blacks are more likely to be violent criminals than the poorest of Whites.
Delete"The demographics also remain the same: Most victims as well as most suspects are young black men."
ReplyDeletehttps://www.ky3.com/content/news/Homicides-spike-in-Kansas-City-on-possible-record-pace-570900251.html
Until you quit ignoring the obvious nothing will change. They are no innocent cherubs "who were just getting their life turned around." Drop the bullshit narratives.
909. I tried to make sense out of this a few years back. I think about 2/3 of the criminality is a direct function of poverty and unrelated to race. In other words, whites at the same poverty level perform crime at high levels as well.
Delete8:52 Prove it.
ReplyDeleteI'll listen to Clay when Clay has walked a mile in a black person's shoes. Until then, his opinion about the experience of others is uninformed by actual lived experience.
ReplyDeleteEvery black in the USA should walk a mile in Liberia before they complain about the white patriarchy.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to walk in someone else's shoes when relating you're own experience. Duh.
DeleteThe point is that blacks here have it better than in Africa with their kind.
DeleteThey should be grateful they have the opportunity to advance here rather than being killed and eaten by cannibal warlords in their homeland.
That's the point, dunce.
They should be grateful. Srsly? That's your argument?
DeleteFYI, they are citizens of US. There is no Africa comparison.
Yes. Grateful to be american...the land of opportunity.
DeleteMillions are risking their lives to come here from Africa for a reason.
Knock the chip off your shoulder, quit trying to blame whty for your own failures.
The muh racism excuse is a cop out and a tool of your oppressors called the democratic plantation.
Read Malcolm x, they killed him for a reason
1029. Lived experience: it's a thing. Think about it for a while.
DeleteOthers coming here from Africa has no bearing on the plight or complaints or gratitude of those already here. Connect you neurons in a logical circuit.
9:13 inform us.
ReplyDeleteOh, Chimpy/9:13, what nonsense monkeyshines are you trying to push, dummy? Oprah's fat flats are stretched too wide, and Big Mike Obama's yachts are way too big for Clay's feet!!!
ReplyDelete942. No answer, eh. And not man enough to concede. But small enough to insult.
DeleteI heard she has a huge dinghy too!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about getting a job, working hard at that job, loving your family, staying with the children you created, and not breaking the law. That recipe helps keep a lot of people of all races stay out of trouble and live decent lives. Kids without active fathers in their lives are 20 times more likely to go to prison.
ReplyDeleteAmerican manufacturing would help a lot of blacks more than anything. Trump has been the best at getting some of that, but it's nothing like the days when a lot of manufacturing plants were in America. At least he brought black and Hispanic unemployment to record lows. Ironically, Obama still holds records for high black unemployment.
ReplyDeleteThese black people who are caught up in the LBJ trap as well as the trap people like Sly James, Quinton Lucas, and Patrick Mahomes set up for them will never listen. So it's best to let them believe the victim BS. As far as I'm concerned these people are selfish weak people and always will be. BTW Black slavery never happened in our county! How do you like that for erasing history.
9:05's comment is great, but, people, in my opinion fail to understand that if you use your common sense and extrapolate, the unsolved crimes are ALSO committed by blacks.
ReplyDeleteAround 90% of ALL violent crime in this nation is committed by blacks.
It's sickening that we, as a nation, spend so much time kissing black ass and hoping they are happy.
Fuck them.
Blexit is so real. Conservative converts who are POCs, are easily found on their own YouTube channels, or as guests on an array of media. Research Anthony B Logan, Kim Klacik, Candace Owens, Brandon Tatum---to find many others---the list grows fast.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious I can't stand black people and hey, neither should you.
ReplyDeleteProtesters accuse DC police of killing unarmed black teenager — then cops release bodycam video
ReplyDeletehttps://www.theblaze.com/news/deon-kay-shooting-bodycam-video
OOPS! Isn't bodycams one of the blm demands? They will end up busting more young black males than they ever will cops with those things. Careful what you wish for! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 A good kill of a completely innocent cherub that was just getting his life turned around!
Believing in systemic racism is like a religion... there is no proof and nobody has specifics of what they want to change.... This is just occupy Wall Street- Negro Edition.....
ReplyDeleteHave you seen crazy Jacob Blake’s Dad ??? Racist, Radical, Hypertensive SilverBack Gorilla
Todays Black perceived racism is not the same as the real racism of their forefathers. The inability to evolve as a culture and assimilate must be blamed on something and somebody. Racism will do as a catch all term explain deficiencies in the Black community. The critical eye of society has "disdain" for their culture and their lawlessness. Disdain and criticism is not racism. The Black community must adopt critical thinking, educational advancement, law compliance, emotional maturity, etc. and put the blame where blame is due, then move on.

Sly James "debating" Clay Chastain about pretty much anything.
ReplyDeletePretty well sums up the level of serious competent "leadership" in this little mid-west burg.
Wonder why KCMO is going down the tubes?
Just look around at the elected and self-appointed "leadership".
And these two are Exhibits A and B.
No systemic racism... have you read the comments here on this particular thread:
ReplyDeleteGood kill
Cant stand black people
N-word
Wall street negro edition
Cannibal warlords.
Racism is alive and well folks. It is only the conceit of privilege that denies it.
Nah. Racism has become meaningless because the left has selectively used it for political gain.
DeleteI agree about selective use, but I don't see them systematically using hateful race-tinged demeaning language on a routine basis like we see here.
Delete641 Sly james is a successful lawyer who was elected mayor 2X - WTF is is his lived experience? Is that racism.
ReplyDeleteAfricans coming to america can't stand africam americans either and see how coddled and ignorant they are - that ought to tell you something.
It's not racism to loathe thug culture.
Nothing wrong with loathing thug culture.
DeleteHoratio Alger stories do not prove or disprove racism. They are used as stand-ins. Separate issues from racism.
Racism is the broader marginilization of minorities from opportunity by confining them to modern day jobless urban plantations.
ReplyDeleteA white guy.
A very privileged white guy.
Claiming there's no systemic racism in America.
Smdh.
Hi Mo!
