Coronavirus Killed Kansas City Retail

Actually, we should also blame Amazon, riots, looters, garbage chain restaurants like Applebee's, systemic American wealth disparity and China. However, a conversation sparked by the plague mentions more a few of these trends as well . . . Only in a much nicer fashion.

Reopen commerce. 100% capacity. Let people work and shop on their own terms, not some bureaucrat hiding in his house.

If you're scared, wear a mask. If you're not, don't. If you're sick, stay home. If you're healthy, live your life.

This is called FREEDOM and it's time we get back to it.

I liked the extra space of empty tables around mine at Cheesecake Factory. Always carry pepper spray when dining on the Plaza in case the woken want to stop by and ruin your meal.

Retail was beginning to come back and then came the mask mandates. Stores had to adopt mask policies or risk being shut down by the authorities. Fear drove fear and resulted in more fear. People are still largely hesitant to go out and deal with the hassle and intimidation of going into a retail outlet.

^^And yet those stores are open and if you don’t want to be intimidated, wear a fucking mask or don’t go out. It’s simple. Glad I could help you understand this mouth-breather. Now get your shine box.

Politicians killed local retail. Democrats are killing the economy.

Agree.

Dr. Rex and Mayor Q destroyed retail businesses throughout KC for no good reason. Mask, social distancing would have been enough. It was enough for WalMart and Target.
